High mileage isf purchase
Currently own an 06 IS 250. Previously owned an 03 Mustang Terminator Cobra, sold it and immediately felt the overwhelming affects of "adult" set in. Love the IS models, but they are sooooo slow. Found 2 ISF's after searching for over 6 months in my area.
2008 WHITE ISF
$23000 FIRM
110K miles
Clean Carfax 3 owners
Upgraded 2010 wheels
Muffler Delete
Water pump replaced
minor chips on front bumper
Current owner REFUSES to budge on price whatsoever
2008 BURGUNDY ISF
$25.5k OBO
72k miles
Lowered on stock wheels
HID Fogs
Intake
2 previous crashes reported (Front passenger fender & Rear bumper impact)
Trans overhaul back in 2012
I've pretty much already declined on the Burgundy ISF but wanted to throw in the details of it. My question is about the white ISF and if the price is a good deal? I'd have to take out a loan to get the car and all I keep considering is how much I'll still owe when this car has 150k or 170k miles and so on. Is it a good idea to pay this much for a car that already has over 100k? There are many other cars around the same price like a 13 G37X sport with 23k miles for $23k for instance. I know from my current IS that they last long and are great cars, but I just can't imagine paying that much for a car with those miles. P.S. This is the most I've paid for any car ever. My cobra was purchased wholesale at a dealership I worked at with 30k miles for $15k it was a steal, my current IS250 had 89k miles and was $10.5k.
Someone please convince me to buy this thing. Sick of driving the grocery getter.

ISF on a tight budget.....Up to you. Check it out, see if you like it. IS250 is slow.....Have you considered IS350 instead? You can probably get 2011-2012 IS350 with very low miles for that price or save some money and get something abit older with 50-60k miles

Since you've had domestic cars before, why not get a used mustang again or a Camaro? You know you can get more bang for your buck with a domestic car like that or something else??
That's pretty much what your going to pay for an 08 with over 100k.........you might be able to find a better deal if you wait a while (some people wait a year or more to find the right one in the right price range and snap one up quickly)?

It really depends on how many miles per year do you think you will drive. If you are going to commute and drive the wheels off it, its probably not a good idea to get/finance a car with high miles. Also, it sounds like you have never purchased a car for more than 15k. I dont know your financial situation, but I would advise to not buy an "expensive" car unless you can easily afford it.

Thanks everyone. I currently drive 30 mins to work each day about 22k miles per year unfortunately. I do want another domestic preferably a CTS-V but I know the Lexus would be more reliable. I've already seen the car and it is in great condition. I just have to make a decision tomorrow.

If you in Virginia, I'm pretty sure that I know which ISF you are talking about.
First, the white one at the dealer in Chantilly, I thought they sold the car already, and I have been following it for 4 months, the lowest price I saw they marked for the car that the last time I saw was $21,450. By the way, if it's the right one with the VIN end 2434, those wheels on it are replica, because the 2011 oem doesn't have that color, and the actual wheels on the car when they bought it was the old Vossen wheels.
Second, the red ISF in Lake Ridge, to me the fair price for it I would say $22,500-$24,500, depends on condition and maintenance, if everything is clean and on the right track, I'm happy to pay $24,500 for it. If you don't care about the color, I would recommend get the red one.

Those 2 ISFs in OP sound expensive. I paid $26k (CDN) for an 08 with 83k km on it (so about 50k mi) a few months back. Dealer maintained since day 1, very good condition. No accidents, water pump replaced, etc etc.
Just be patient, deals will come up.

Here is one I see on Craigslist list that looks like a good deal. I don't know anything about it. Just saw the post and shared it.
