Default Rear door sensor

Hey everyone I have a issue, my rear left door sensor keeps saying that the door is unlocked while driving. It only does it when I am turning I replaced the sensor a few weeks ago because I thought the sensor was bad but the new sensor is starting to do the same thing. So I’m wondering what could be causing this issue. Any help would be much appreciated.

Depends which way u turning. Check if your door is loose, shake it a bit, let's say u turn left and your left door light comes on, it's probably lose. "Was it in accident?" Also, when sensor is installed. Move wires, check for bad wiring. Touch the sensor a bit. Maybe move left door sensor to right door, see if issue persists. If u still couldn't locate the issue... hopefully little bit of double sided tape where the sensor is touching the door will fix it, u can also "I believe" short that sensor so it will always show door as closed.

Yes car was rear ended and quarter panel was replaced and door needed to be removed to paint. It’s weird because when I replaced the sensor it was fine for a few weeks and issue has returned. I wonder if I needed to tighten the bolt more on the sensor or maybe the door is loose but seems pretty solid to me.

deff check for lose parts there. Its number one rule for random lights and such on any car. Put little bit of lock-tite on it, IF the sensor is lose.

Check the harness as it exits the door into the body. This is a classic spot for broken wires when bodymen yank on the doors to replace them. Might be a bad wire in there or they spliced it and did a bad job.

Ok I will definitely do that, going to need to remove the rear seats to make it easier to trace the wire for any bad splices or kinks.
