Default Pricing Help on 2012 ISF

Hi All,

I am looking at a 2012 ISF with 31k miles and a 1-owner clean Carfax. They are asking for $42k.

What would be a great deal? I am thinking to initially offer them $35k. Any recommendations?

Thanks Guys!

Do you have a link?

Doubt they will let it go for 35K, but that's not a bad starting point. Have you seen the car in person, test driven it? I would not make an offer until you check it out.

Realistically, they might let it go for 40K but that's just my guess.

Here is the link:

I
test drove it today, everything seemed to check out fine. Ultimately, I'd like to be less than $40k Out the Door.

Sorry to tell you this, but that's not going to happen. You want to pay 40K out the door after tax and licensing, so like 32 or 33. Maybe for a 2008 with higher miles but not for a 2012 with 31,000 on the clock.

No way they will let it go for that. (Unless they are dumber than a sack of rocks)

how much are taxes for the car to pay 7-8k in taxes? i thought CA had the highest used car tax at ~8%. Even then, at $37k, the car is ~$40k OTD.

Texas taxes are 6.25% which means it would need to be $37k to stay under 40k out the door.

I am looking for a great deal, so suppose it will depend on how much the dealer wants to sell it

it'll be tough to find a good deal on an ISF with low miles in good condition, if that car is in good condition. they go for a small premium due to that.

^^This is an awesome price for a 2012. Carfax is clean. I would still check the car around for any hidden damages not reported to carfax. If OP is looking for one, this one is looking good.

I would say $40k is a fair offer.

Guess I'll piggy back off this thread as I've looked at both these cars (online). The one in Texas seems priced rather high, but it is a rarer combo than the black one in Cinci. I currently have a black 370z that is not a DD and pain to keep clean. ISF will be DD so black is my last color preference but seeing as the selection in Chicago (sans 08-10) is slim pickings I could possibly consider it. Lexicon could you PM me your thoughts on that 2012 in Cinci, so we don't completely hijack this thread?

Agree with Diesel350... $40k is likely the winning sale price on the 2012 in TX. Add TT&L to that.

I know it sounds absurd that a 5 year old car is holding the value so well, but that seems to be the case of the ISF. If you have the funds and want the most reliable four door rocket available, I wouldn't walk away from a low mileage car given the opportunity. Also, check the LexusOwners site for maintenance history. That could also factor into the price.

Great to see this car is holding value quite well.
