Android Auto on VLine, quick demo:

 

GROM big thanks for Android Auto. But can you guys resize it bit smaller. Interface is way too big even on my GS350 12.3" screen. Way too much real estate taken up lots of scrolling needed to view Maps for instance. Pretty much useless at current resolution.

 

So is it possible to make android auto work on VL1?

 

Are we at all likely to see a VL3 this year? On the fence since I really want CarPlay, been using it more and more lately in my Yukon and I really do like it. I should of just ordered a VL2 back when it was on the early bird price, but oh well.

edit: eh, screw it, ordered a VL2.

 

I doubt it; GROM is trying to break into toyota land with the VL2

 

And Honda and Acura. They're already into Nissan and Infiniti cars.

 

And they need to fix the bugs they have with VL2, including all the issues across their existing install base

Anyone else have issues with GROM customer service/tech support or is it just me?
I did everything to the letter and cannot shake screen only showing on the left 2/3 on my 17 RX 350.
They are hard to get a hold of IMO.

 

Maybe give em a call? I placed my order yesterday morning, and immediately emailed them regarding a shipping address change since I selected the wrong one at checkout. They replied fairly quickly, but haven't shipped out yet (I know it says 1-2 business days though) and didn't respond when I sent in an email making sure it was all good after I gave them the updated address.

Got it installed, still need to cleanup my mess I made. Carplay works fine as far as I can tell. Noticed I can't skip to the next song or back on my phone's Spotify app with the steering wheel controls when streaming through bt a2dp on an XS Max running iOS 12.3.1, I was under the impression it was able to do that. When I'm on Carplay, I can skip songs with the steering wheel controls. If I tether my phone and use the native Spotify app on the VL2, I can skip with the controls, so I don't know why I can't do it over bt
