Is that before or after the VL1 update to Android 8 you said would happen? Not holding my breath...

VL2 has support for AA since release 2.0 which was made 3 weeks ago. Make sure you update to the latest OTA from Android 8.1.
Android 5.1 will not get that update.

AA will be supported on Android 5.1 on VL1. VL1 will not have 8.1 update.

So you support AA on VL1 Android 5.1, but not VL2 5.1? Maybe that would be ok if you didn't make people with VL2 pay to upgrade to 8.1. If you support it in 5.1 on the VL1, why not VL2?

So how do I upgrade to the latest OTA from Android 8.1? I believe that I'm still on 5.1 as that is how my pre-release ordered unit was shipped.

All of a sudden getting a black screen shortly before I got home. Disconnected everything and still getting the black screen. Rest of the nav works even though I have no display when I try to swap to the vl2 input. The unit is still powered on though, and plugging in my phone it’ll start charging. I know these things have issues with the displayport cable and bends, but I have no extreme bends or really anything that exceeds how it was wrapped up. Gonna contact support first if I can’t get anything in the morning, but I’m just contemplating returning it since I’ve had sporadic issues with carplay freezing or the unit kicking it back to the oem navi.

You may laugh and i know this might seem a bit trivial but in the year ive owned my V2, its only done this a couple of times and on both occasions, simply putting the transmission into Reverse to activate the rear camera and then back in Park again fixed it for me.

I have found when the Vline played up like this, any OEM funciton such as reverse camera or parking sensors etc enable the screen to turn back on.

One other time i had no sound issues but as the screen was still working, GROM emailed me a fix it update that i could upload via a USB and all was fixed and its been working great since.

@gromaudio when will you guys fix DPI issue for Android Auto? It's too big right now to be useful.
