Please check and ensure the phone is connected to CarPlay for the calls, and not to a factory Bluetooth. Disconnect your iPhone from a factory Bluetooth and connect to VLine CarPlay only.

I find the call quality via the vline not as good as the lexus hands free. You have to increase the volume to nearly 45-50 where as the factory volume can be low and you can hear the other party with no issues.

Before ios18 there were no issues, it’s since then this has started

We have settings in the CarPlay Plugin that let you adjust the CarPlay volume. That includes the phone calls. See if that will help.

You can also try toggling the Sound Check setting in CarPlay, as described here:

Yes but this is an old fix which doesn’t apply to Bluetooth calls. Already have it off by default. Also all volumes are to the max

I’ve just tested an old iPhone that’s in ios17 and all works as expected which points to the vline

If iOS17 work as expected, then it points to iOS18 rather than VLine. We will do more research on it.

The other option you can try is: Disable Vocal Shortcuts: In iOS 18, this feature can force the car into a low-fidelity "voice" mode. Go to Settings > Accessibility > Vocal Shortcuts and turn them off.

Hi, again this has been implemented too. I have been through every possible forum suggestion out there relating to this.

i don’t have this issue on factory built in CarPlay systems. Tried on a new Lexus, Toyota, BMW and Mercedes to name a few. Note that this issue is prevalent on wireless and wired using the Vline.

Yes, you can install the system if you have some technical ability. You will need to disassemble the portion of the dashboard to connect the system to the back of the stereo, and display and
Install the GPS antenna. On some vehicles, you will also need to install the aftermarket microphone (included). But most of our systems now support the factory microphone. We have plenty of install videos on our
