08 Rear Dif
I just got the vehicle and iv noticed that when I accidentally took off to hard only one tire patch was left behind? I know its not a electronic lsd in the 08 but isn't it a mechanical?
^^^^No, the electronics are slower to respond than the Torsen. IMHO, the early diff was a mistake by Lexus. It's really not suitable for track work. One note, I have an '08, so I have the early diff and for spirited street driving I find that it works OK. There are a couple of threads of folks retrofitting the later diff to an early car. And SpeedFreaks had a Group of the Giken Unit:

The 08 and 09 had open differentials that used the rear brakes to send power to the wheel with most traction.
This car should have never been released without a proper true Mechanical LSD system.

Gearbangin- did you buy the one that was on Robbins auto parts this week? What did you end up paying if you don't mind me asking? I emailed them about it but they never got back to me. I assume someone else called and jumped on it.
IMHO, you would be ahead of the game to just buy a used open diff and have the OS Giken LSD installed. It's way better than any Torsen. After putting mine in, I am seriously considering removing the Torsen and putting a Giken in my Supra. It really is that much better.
