Ok, so in M mode shifts can be a little rough from 2nd to 3rd unless I give it enough gas. It's no big deal and my car has always been like that (owned it since 9/2013). But as of yesterday, shifts have completely changed from 1st to 2nd. It is clunky, extremely quick and lurches forward every time in M mode. It has NEVER done this before and it kinda sucks.
I've read all of the threads regarding tranny fluid, belt squeak, etc. and haven't specifically found anything like this. I haven't done anything to the car except the ELF recall and an oil change about a month ago. I'm not sure what to do at this point....
Your rough shifts from 2nd-3rd is concerning to hear and now your 1st-2nd clunk is even more alarming. As you know the transmission is "service free" but I would start by checking the transmission fluid level.
Ok, I reset the ECU and it didn't fix it. I guess now I take it to the dealer and see what they recommend? Should I ask that they flush/replace the tranny fluid?
So I'm considering seeking out a younger ISF with less miles and trading mine in, rather than investing in diagnosing the issue for the rough shifts. The revised suspension is very appealing to me (my brother has a 2012 and it's incredibly more refined).
I really like my rims and bought PSS a couple months ago, so it would make sense to find some 2008 sotck rims so I can keep mine. Anybody know an efficient way I could potentially score a set of OEM 2008 rims? The classifieds here didn't yield anything......

Did you figure out what was wrong? I’m having the same issue even after flushing the transmission fluid on my 2006 IS250. A lot of people are saying to send the ECU in for a repair did the trick for them. Did you do that?

Where was the transmission fluid changed? The dealership did mine and had to reset the transmission shift values. The fluid change itself did not help, just FYI.

You would be far better off posting this in the appropriate model forum. The IS F uses the Aisin AA80E. It bears no resemblance to the 6 speed in the IS250.
