Long shift from 1st to 2nd
Like the title says, I sometimes experience a long shift from 1st to 2nd. When the transmission is cold, it seems to shift fine from 1st to 2nd. It isn't until it is warmed up that I get a looong shift. It winds up,,,,, then it shifts. I have no problems in other gears. Anyone else experience this?

Was it doing it prior to the drain? When you have a problem it's very helpful to 'tell the tale' so there aren't 15 posts just dragging out basic info about the situation.
Considering that it's a very expensive piece of equipment and you have just serviced it I would bite the bullet and have Lexus diagnose it before very much longer.. The fact that it exhibits the behavior so soon after a fluid change is possibly significant.

According to Lexus online service records, it has not had any service done to the Trans prior. Including any updates to the computer. I have preformed the reset, there was no change. Sometimes it shifts fine. There seems to be a window between very slow acceleration, and mid to high acceleration, where the long shift is more likely to occur.
Could the throttle position senson cause this?

Any ideas? what is the procedure that a mechanic would go through to diagnose this issue? I don't want to spend a bunch of money to diagnose a bad transmission. If thats the case, ill drive it until it fails....

Update: I just went out and performed a little test. I manually shifted starting at the ”L” position, and went up through the gears. It shifted just fine, no excessive wind up before the shift. I did this a few times just from L or 1st to 2nd, and it shifted normally. I take this to mean that the issue is not with the Trans itself, but with something telling it when to shift?
