Hi guys,
Im looking to downsize to 18in. To all the wheel and offset experts out there; what offsets should i be looking at? What are conservative/aggressive offsets? Thanks in advance!

Truthfully, I don't think it will waver much from the 19s. I was looking at a set of 18s for the track and autocross events, and conservatively offsets of 38-45 (front) and 45-55 (rear) will be just fine. For a more aggressive approach- again, similar to the 19s- maybe 22-32 (front) and 30-35 (rear) will work, but will most likely need camber and/or skinny tires. There are some who have 18s on the forums, and personally I think it looks good. How it performs will be determined by what you're looking for in terms of sizing for both wheels and tires. In fact, if you're at stock height and if you're leaning towards a more conservative set up without camber or doing other things to make the wheels fit, you can run some wide tires up front. I believe some members have a square set up of 285/40/18 with 18x8.5 +38.

I have been very seriously looking into a cheap track set of wheels and tires. Can you really mount a 285 in the front ?!
I was thinking of buying some cheap Enkeis used and mounting up some Hoosiers or even a set of the Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2.I just dont understand members flaming people for asking questions. Who cares if there are multiple threads. It will be ok......we will make it ......

Im looking at Enkei rpf1 18" but not sure which offsets will be best. I dont want to be too conservative or too aggressive either. My car is lowered on kw v3.

The wheel design looks great, but the offsets will put you in a little trouble. Both are extremely aggressive for what the IS F can handle without running camber, increasing ride height, and running spacers. I know a lot of people who want aggressive offsets on our cars, and it's highly unlikely unable to be done without spacers for sure.
