Hi,
I've been searching and looking through the wheels thread for the 3GS and i have a question. I currently have a 2010 GS350 and was interested in a set of wheels and tires. The ones I'm looking at are 19x9f/11r et +25. I don't plan on lowering the car... will i have any issues (rubbing, camber, etc.) with this setup?? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Firstly, hopefully your car is not the awd because that setup would not be recommended for it. Secondly, you will have some camber with that wide of a wheel on the rears.
Fronts might be ok, but rears sounds like overkill. If you are not planning to lower at all, then the rears will most likely fit no problems at all but it will stick out quite far. I'd say 2-2.5 inches further out and maybe .75-1 inch on the inside because of the offset.
@ptplujo thanks for the response. Its actually 19x10.5 (+25) in the rear, not 11. I will not lower the car. So camber would be the only issue? Will my camber be way off spec even with a good alignment?
Now seeing that that's a 10, camber might not be affected as much. In all honesty, this is a debatable topic from guy to guy, mechanic to mechanic, me to you. The reason I say camber as an issue is because the center lines of the wheels are changing affecting the scrub radius. You're creating a positive scrub now and in affect, it's taking a little more effort on the suspension to get the wheels to turn/go. Stressing these components causes premature wear, i.e. camber wear being more noticeable/happening sooner. (getting too technical, will stop)
The other argument is, because no actual suspension is touched; camber and everything else is unaffected at all. i.e. wearing a bigger size shoe does not affect the way you walk, your legs were not replaced. Very debatable topic..
BUT, to answer the question, with your info given, they should fit fine. Definitely have the fronts test fitted first though because there is a possibility of rubbing whenever you go wider wheels/tires on the inside and fender wells when a full turn (u-turn) is required.
Thank you! Will the +25 offset with 10.5 rear really sit out 2-2.5"?? Without a drop and as little camber as possible, that prob wont look very good, im assuming?
You keep changing your rear size wheels? Expect 1.5-2 inches with 10's. Just stick to stocks if you don't want to deal with issues. My personal opinion would be no, they will not look good at all.
