ISF key Fob

Legitimate question as it looks like I've washed the spare key one too many times 🙄 how is it almost $350 if you purchase everything and program at the stealership. Is there a pairing process we can do or does it require tools? Just can't fathom how they can charge $90 for the blade and $200 for the fob plus charge $85 to program and cut. But I'm used to replacing keys in Toyota trucks so I guess I'm spoiled. Any recommendations for a source for 08 keys? I'd like to get another with the "F" branding on the back to replace it and will bite the bullet if I have to from the dealer.

The key has to be added using Techstream. There is only one way to get Techstream legally, and we don't discuss other methods here. The pairing process is pretty simple, I've done it a few times now with credit card keys, and it takes about 10 minutes start to finish for the technician. The best way to get a key is through a Lexus dealer. I bought the credit card key for the wife's GS F from a site sponsor, mylparts.com. They also provided the cut key that inserts in the card, but this is technically optional. They only need your VIN to do this.
A standard key for a 2008 IS F is 89904-53060. The hard key for this fob is 69515-50260. Together, they run right at $200 for both from mylparts.com.
Generic credit card keys for the '08 are 89904-50480, but no guarantees this will work at all. We have other threads with details on what we have found to work with the '08 models and credit card keys. Lots of helpful information in both of these threads:
