Default 19K, time for some tires

Hey all,

I am in for my 20K service and the dealership is advising that I need new tires. They want nearly 1.8K for tires and an alignment.

1. Should I just get the OEM tires from an alternative vendor?

2. If not, is there a better (read: less expensive) alternative to the OEM tires that I should look into without sacrificing on performance ?

Best,
Eric

Buy Michelin Pilot Super Sport in stock sizes or slighter wider.. get an alignment somewhere else reputable and save over $800.

Or you can paypal me your savings, if you want.

you shouldnt have to get an alignment after getting new tires unless your tires were wearing unevenly. People here seem to go with 20mm wider tires all around on stock wheels (245 front /275 rear). PSS is the best street tire you can get. Has anyone tried Conti DW? OEM tires are usually trash anyways. You can always find tires that are less expensive and better performing.

the stealership overcharges like no other. I was told $65 to mount and balance each tire.. ridiculously expensive. OP, you can purchase your PSS on tirerack. their website also has reliable installers that they recommend in your area.

did you get wider than stocks or stock size. You can go 20mm wider all around on stock wheels. Either way, youll be amazed at the PSS

I'm impressed you got 20k out of the first set! Mine were going out around 13k.
