accelerating from deadstop
Perhaps you should have said ..."I read in car and driver that 2011+ models got suspension upgrades as well as torsen LSD...is this true?" Instead you come out and straight up say "_________________" .
Not sure how old you are...most of the IS F members here are older, somewhat more mature (excluding me, I'm 14). A lot of them have had their cars for a few years and have been on this forum a lot so generally they know what they're talking about.
see the enclosed article by car and driver under the section a thorough revamp. They talk about how the suspension totally changed and the torsen lsd replace the open diff

I guess im the type that believes what the pros write in car magazines
I could definitely be wrong, im just going by what im reading. The article below from car and driver must be wrong or a typo then. It says the torsen limited slip replaced 2010s open differential setup. http://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/...ad-test-review

Now you know 2010 on up got suspension upgrades as well as an LSD.
This is incorrect...2008 models do not have LSD. If I'm not mistaken, it's 2010+ that have LSD. Second, 20 degrees is way too fricken cold for tires. If you're talking 20C, then I think that's almost like 70F, which isn't very hot either....warm up the tires.
Secondly...what tires are you running?

This thread is ridiculous and has given me my biggest laugh yet today...thanks guys. It is always fun listening to uninformed people have it out with informed people with a chip on their shoulder...lol.
Agree. And my thought is that the OP's issue is more related to tires than anything else. When I take off from a stop I always roll into it a bit rather than just stomp the accelerator.
I checked the tires and they are still good. Haven't checked tire pressure yet, but I did an alignment a few weeks ago and tire pressure were all up to 35 psi.
I also meant 20C as i'm in canada :P haha

The Torsen LSD was a change for 2010. The eLSD works pretty well but does not work under 15 mph, so it won't help with a launch. Do the pedal dance if you want to see what open diff really means. Also, we have "pretorque" washers in the spider gears of the open diff on the '08 and '09 which makes it behave more like a Phantom Grip than a true open diff.
Check your tire pressures, be sure your rear toe is correct and thrust angle is as close to zero as possible. Check your shocks to be sure they're not leaking (excessively), and if all else fails, corner weigh the car. It's possible the springs are a bit off from the factory.
thanks for the leads, lobuxracer. It's still a mystery to me, it might just be the tire pressure, or the crappy uneven road surfaces we have in Vancouver. I don't suspect the shocks, as I just put in new BC coils, and rear toe and thrust are pretty much 0 according to the alignment readout.
