Even with a cat it is possible to smell gas.

I've gone both ways (cat and no cat) with my previous cars.

In the few instances I consistently smelled gas, sure enough there was either a leak in the downpipe or the manifold.

If you do not have a leak upstream other than your exhaust, you will not consistently smell gas for reasons so simple it does not deserve an explanation.

Wow what an amazing wife!!! Congrats

With being catless the smell rarely ever bothers me and I never notice it when the windows are up. I'd say the only times it's noticeable is with the windows open sitting at a stop with a tailwind and of course idling in the garage.

So the 405whp was on JE's dyno? Seems about 10 off from what most are putting down there. What kind of condition is your Toms filter in?

IMO both PPE and SIkky are putting over 40whp which are impressive gains for a NA motor. I second that my wife want's nothing to do with my F....

Thanks.

I need to check the Tom's filter when I get back...I'm sure it needs cleaning (pretty sure it has between 25-30k miles on it since I put it in)

Do you have any sister-in-law that I can borrow for a season?

I am experiencing a leak somewhere in my system after a JE import install 3 weeks ago. I lifted the car several times to check for leaks and none were found. I am getting a dizzying fuel smell while driving with the windows down even. I noticed the worst odor comes when I am driving with windows cracked and air on recirculate. I bought the headers from JE because I thought they were the best in the business. I am starting to think the leak is due to these low quality welds where the headers meet the engine block.....

My brother had sikky and I distinctly remember them smelling much worse then my PPE headers do, in fact I can't notice the PPE smell unless I'm idling in my garage (in which case any car would stink lol).
