How can one test for a leak. I know I haven't heard any others complaining about the headers not being sealed properly.

that finish looks like a joke, how do you sell a product to consumers with that kind of quality? My worry is even with this issue known, people are buying these without any concern.

Hey Guys,
Just wanted to post on here to give you some info regarding the raised welds on these Sikky headers. This design is done completely intentional and is not a defect in your headers. The raised weld manifold design actually came from old hot rods and it's a "domestic" style of headers.
Having the raised welds creates a pinch point technically providing a better seal on the gasket. When you have an all flat surface it disperses the pressure point across the whole flange, where as with the Sikky design the pressure point is pushed inward resulting in a better seal at the cylinder heads. Hopefully I was able to clarify that for you guys but defnitely give me a call at the shop if you need any more info regarding this. Thanks!

Just talked to Joe and everything should be good guys. As long as I get the headers installed by a knowledgeable tech I shouldn't have a problem. Once again big thanks to the guys at JE

The paranoia is complelely understandable, but again the truth lies in the numbers of headers already installed and the level of experience in the install.

Holy crap, bro! I cannot wait to see what you can do with the headers on too!!! Originally Posted by MRxSLAYx

Ive made the case before that though the full systems out for the isf seem to be quality products, ive never lost a race to an ISF with any of those exhaust systems.
You think sub-11s is possible with a 125 shot?
It makes sense but if it's intentional it should be consistent. In the OPs original post the pics show one header different then the other and roughly 1/3 of some ports flush.

The angle of the photo is slightly deceiving as well. In one photo they seem flush and in another you can see the elevation.Originally Posted by RCB

When I installed my PPE headers the fit and finish was top notch I know lowrideraz can agree with me on that. The only issue I had was a CEL after install because of an error on the installation paperwork concerning a wire. SInce that was fixed my CEL went away some two months or so ago. Slay we should meet up with other F owners in our area. Well Slay let us know how your installation went? Will you post a dyno was well with just the headers?

OK, I'm going to step in here, and say what I really mean. I've been standing on the sidelines and giving roadmaps to threads about where to seek out info on the workmanship of PPE and Sikky headers. I guess, my conscience has gotten the better of me
But, how can you guys really compare Pict number one to pict number two, and think that pict one is ok, and was designed that way on purpose
I just can't understand it
There are other areas I could point to. The collector, the assembly and welding, just the overall design. I don't want to start a war, but I feel strongly here. And I am finally coming out and saying, IMHO, Sikky just doesn't hold a candle to PPE.

Can a moderator please step in here. Lou you are ridiculous. So you think you know more then the professionals who make race parts for race cars. Please chim in your knowledge. If you know more then them how is that possible. Do you work for PPE? If so I think you should have to pay vendor fees like all the other vendors. Why are you so pressed on taking down sikky. You've presented more then enough of your biased info. Let the people decide. Oh wait they did and the majority choose sikky. I really wish a moderator would jump in cause this is really getting out of hand. I use to love this forum. Not anymore. Expressing your opinion is fine. But attacking a company over and over is a bit excessive. No matter who the company anyone who does anything to improve our community should be embrassed.

Lou, I do think you've made your perspective and opinion on this topic very clearly known even before "moving in from the sidelines", lol
You've said your piece on this in lots of discussions, lets please not turn every Sikky thread into a holy header war. Thanks.
If you want to discuss further, feel free to PM me.
