Default 3000 lb racing jack good enough?

I want to buy a jack in order to do oil changes on my is-f.

I know the car itself weighs more than 3000 pounds, but for doing oil changes where you're only jacking up the side of the vehicle, is a 3000lb racing jack good enough?

Haha, a 3,000 lb jack will do. The scissor jack in the trunk sure isn't rated at 3,000 lbs, so you're fine.

I would also suggest using jack stands if you didn't already plan on doing so. Don't place all of your trust into only the jack.

For oil changes, I don't even bother with the jack. I just drive the car onto a set of these. Saves a whole lot of time and hassle.

Would you be able to change midpipes on these?

It would be better to have the entire car in the air for that, but you could pair these ramps with a set of jackstands and it would work.

Default jack

Thanks guys, I always used a regular floor jack on my evos but I know the IS-F is a little heavier than both of those cars so wanted to check and make sure. Plus harbor freight has a sale on that racing jack right now so I wanted to snap one up before the sale ends.

great screen name btw. hah.
I normally use hardcoreracing on all the forums including ebay but looks like someone beat me to it over here lol...

those rhino ramps with a stock isf with no lip, will clear the rhino ramps fine. but barely, any lower and it would hit the front bumper b4 it gets a chance to get up on the ramps.
