Default Blackstone UOA Thread - Post Your UOA HERE!

So I've been tracking the IS-F... Here's what I have so far. I'll have more soon, I just did a complete change at 15k miles while visiting a friend in Dallas (oh, yeah, I ignored their recommended change...):

Default Latest Update

Blackstone says I am good for 12k mile OCI! This data INCLUDES a track weekend, and notice many of the numbers actually decreased after the filter change and top off at 5k miles.

Copper seems a tad high but perhaps from the oil cooler and track running. I doubt it's related to something like a coolant leak as there would be other signs.

Looks good!

Excellent work and proof. This goes with the car chat thread that service intervals for oil changes maybe too aggressive.

Thanks for sharing!

Default More Solid Results

I changed my filter a week or so ago and sent the oil to Blackstone. It just keeps getting better with time and mileage. Copper and iron continue to improve. Note they specifically call out the oil filter's performance....YZZ4 FTMFW!

^^^ Thanks for the reminder Lance!!

I just ordered my free kit...

I'll probably squeeze an oil change in this weekend.

I'm at about 7k miles on "Mobil Clean 5000 mile" dino engine oil.

Total mileage approaching 12k..

Now I need to find something clean to store some of this used engine oil, so nothing else contaminates it.

Another Toyota engine that's good for 1 year or 10/12K miles (w/same filter)!

I wouldn't say that about the filter. I change it midway between full oil changes. This last sample was from a filter change and the oil came directly from the filter housing. I'll bet the engine on good oil, I won't bet it on the filter staying clean enough to provide full lubrication at redline beyond the recommended change interval when the filter is <$5. Adding oil to full after the filter change also recharges the additive package and raises TBN which helps extend OCI further.

I'm not a betting man but I would be willing to bet the filter can go 12K miles.
