Default limited slip diff?

hey guys
seems that the aftermarket products for the IS-f is starting to take shape. we are seeing diferent intakes, exhasut, ext. and int. modding and even a twin turbo kit.
Now all we need is a True limited slip diff. anyone have any news on this... a friend of mine said that someone swapt a is-350 or 250 diff in a IS-f anyone heard about this. I ve been trying to look but did not find anything.

add this to a good after market torque converte that can let you launch a bit harder and were talking serious numbers for the F...

what do you think. cause I know that for the 2nd generation GS's they had a torque convertes that shaved off a .2 or .3 sec of the 1/4 mile just by beeing able to launch harder... But i know the is always the issue of traction, but thats were the limited slip and good tires would come in..
any thoughts ......? or news ?

o yeah
the IS-F has a 2.937
the IS-350 has a 4.0831 Final D. ratio
the is-250 (Auto) has a 3.909 fianl D. ratio
the IS-250 (Manual) has a 3.727 fianl D. ratio
niether of these are limmited slip but i wonder is how agressive would it make the IS-f if one of the aboves were installed......

So something that will void your powertrain warranty

The aftermarket still sucks for the IS-F...........there is still just one proven intake and exhaust (joeseph z/PTS) one front lip that is under a grand, MHP ECU tune works/doesn't work, Andy is MIA in the Gulf tuning billion dollar Arabian Lambos and doesn't have time to sell his $5,000 crap........I still haven't seen more than a couple aftermarket wheels that look as good and are built as well as the OEM bbs rollers........and the twin turbo set up is running 14 second 1/4 miles and is unproven to say the least!

Things are picking up a little, but the C63 and M3 market are light years ahead of the F

I'm proud to say I'm bone stock...........because there is nothing worth buying this stage of the aftermarket game

Ditto from me too. I didn't buy the thing for a drag car and am quite happy with the way it performs AND the warranty.

At least you don't have to worry about spending too much money on mods.

I thought the diff from the IS350 and IS-F is the same except for the gearing. Wouldnt the toms lsd work in the IS-F? I just got done autocrossing one of these and the LSD is definitely needed in this car.

This is the one significant performance mod that I'd like to see companies step up to offer products for. $2500 for a LSD is *nuts* and it hurts not having one in our car.

Lightbulb

I know OS Giken made a one off Super Locker LSD for the Falken Drift IS350....

Would be a great idea if they actually made a production unit for the IS-F

Average price for something like this is approx. $1,500 - $2,000

At that price point, you'll be talking to Phantom Grip.

Group buy? I wonder how many people would pony up say $1500 for this. I'm guessing they'd need 20 to consider making it...like most stuff that has been made as a 1-off for the F so far.
