Help with DVD hack
Hello All,
I hope you had a wonderful Valentines day! Anyhoo, I did the DVD hack this afternoon on the F. I got everything apart with no problems. I connected the white/grey and pink wires together and grounded the red wire. The DVD is playing while in motion but there is no sound. I spent another hour trying to find a loose wire and I'm stumped. Here's the kicker, my IPOD and FM radio plays fine but the DVD has no audio. WTH!?! Any assistance would be appreciated.

I would suggest picking up one of these plug & play kits...
Works perfect for the IS-F..
NO wire cutting, hacking or warranty voiding, since the kit can be easliy removed with out showing a trace of installation..
If you have Mark Levinson this will allow Video play back while driving.
(for passengers of course)
The Nav Destination input while in motion comes in handy as well..
I got mine from
http://www.prestigioussociety.com/
Sorry, I see I was a bit late with this info...

I like your mount, but where did you put the big box? Is it mounted behind the stereo? Any thermal issues?

That's a very clean mount! Did the brackets and foam come with that kit ? It looks great!

That's an OEM piece....
I was showing you the empty area next to it, as a possible mounting point...
The small "black box" is shown in the box product photo...

Ahhhh, I get it now. I'm just a little slow. So, how did you mount it there? Velcro? ;-)
