$403 for 840 CCA?
Are you powering extra accessories?!

If not, try out the $248 720 CCA OPTIMA 8025-160 25 RedTop

You get what you pay for. They use pure lead, brass posts etc. quality battery.

I've ran Odyssey batteries since the mid-2000's. Well worth the money. I run one in my ISF (group size 34), just need need a spacer.

Battery:

The X2 is the same battery made in the same factory and they offer a 4yr warranty instead of a 3yr. I think it might be the last 4 yr warranty out there. I have put the battery in my ISF about a year ago and it still fires up as quick as the day I put it in. I know its not all that long but it has been great. Car has even sat a few times for a month due to work and still fires up zero hesitation.

You can even apply the 10 or 15% off coupons that batteries plus has almost always.

I have this battery in my GS-F, had the car parked in garage without battery tender for weeks and starts without issue. I used to have an interstate agm battery that failed after 3 years.

You know, when you asked that question I was like "Wait a minute...why did I choose a different size than stock? I had a reason but maybe I was wrong?"

So I went back and did a quick comparison and figured out why I did.
It's because their Group 34 is 6.2lbs lighter while sharing a same if not better cranking amp rating.

Group 34:

Group 24:
https://www.odysseybattery.com/produ...agm24-battery/

The group 24 has more amp hours, but 6lbs is is 6lbs on a porky car like this. With the spacer, I'll call it a 5.5lb weight shave.

Jesus. Why would you put a huge pig like that in your car?

All three of my cars have Antigravity batteries, and I can lift them over my head with zero effort. 50 pounds? That's a crime with the batteries available today.

Antigravity doesn't do so well in winter or I would have one.

No doubt the Li-ion car batteries are a game-changer, I'm just not interested in that tech for my street car batteries.

Appreciate the link, though.

Our cars use Group 24.

Odyssey makes a Group 35 to Group 24 spacer/adapter, Odyssey 22201251 Spacer G34-24.

Does anyone know of any other adapters, conversions, etc for other sizes without having to resort to DIY, for example, Odyssey PC680.

Not much out there for cars. A quick search showed a few concepts you could use, but you'd need to fab it yourself.

Figs offers these: https://shopfigs.com/v5/by-vehicle/c...-3GS-ISF/G1119

But it's not clear if they're made specifically to accommodate a smaller battery.
