Is this thread still active? I have an is350c and am having issues with the top. I scanned it, and if memory serves me it is a position sensor in the right hand package tray/trunk hinge that is the issue. I will rescan and verify. My question is this: can the sensor itself be replaced, or do I need to replace the whole mechanism just to replace the sensor? Thanks in advance for any help!
I haven't had any issues with my hardtop until yesterday, when I tried to open it. It began the opening process for a few seconds and suddenly stopped! The trunk is now slightly ajar (maybe 2cm open) from the rear windshield and I can't seem to get this top to close or open! I also can't access the trunk at all given the roof hasn't opened enough.
There are 2 error messages toggling:
Op Suspended
Check Retractable Hardtop System
I have tried the following without success:
Disconnected the battery for 20 mins and reconnected
Any recommendations on how to solve this one?

I am in the same position with my 2010 IS 250C
I have a 2010 is350c, getting the error code B256B, Lock in Side Package Tray Motor RH Circuit. I found the process to diagnos in a repair manual onlline, but the first thing to check is the side package tray trim motor RH. It appears there are 2 motors in the RH package tray assembly, so Im not sure which motor I am supposed to remove and inspect. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
