I have noticed recently that my outer rear passenger tail light has some LED’s that are not working and are off. I’m wondering if it’s a connection issue or the LED’s themselves as I hear LED’s are supposed to last a very long time. Has anyone encountered this issue and done anything to fix it?? I want to buy aftermarket tail lights but I can’t find any for this model. I also thought about buying a used one off eBay as well. Any suggestions and advice would be greatly appreciated!
If you search Ebay for 81551-53240 a whole bunch of options come up, used and aftermarket. By the looks that tail light is not designed to be repaired or serviced except the turn signal bulb.
best to leave it alone. Removing and reinstalling that light is a process which involves removing parts of the convertible mechanism (none for the roof, just trim but still) and is dozens of steps long. not worth the risk imo
Thank you lex2k for the suggestion, I am looking on eBay for good condition tail lights. Hedovr I would ignore it lol but at night it seems like an eye sore and makes the car show its age. If anyone is able to find a customized tail light option please let me know!

You only need to open the trunk, pop off two nut covers and remove two nuts. It's the fastest easiest change you will ever do. It can be done in less than 30 seconds.
