Ok I searched the forum and couldn't find an answer, I bought the aftermarket tail lights for a 00 GS400 the red led one with the white clear strip on the bottom. Everything was going good last night it was installed correctly but then all of a sudden both tail lights stopped running with the power on, however brakes still work, turn signal still works, and reverse still works. I replaced the tail light fuse and that only brought back the inner tail lights but the outer ones are still out.

What is going on, is it a relay???

i got some after market ebay ones and i had the tail light and the brake light reversed in the wrong connector on the tail lamp. so i switched them and it started working again.

The manufacturer of the aftermarket LED tails somehow crossed the two brake light connectors...just switch them around...hopefully this will fix it.

have you replaced it the original to see if it's the lights and not the wire harness?

Ok good news everyone the problem is fixed, what happened was there was a 20amp fuse in place of a 10amp fuse in the tail light slot which blew out the relay harness for the tail lights, so a buddy of mine soddered it and we placed the relay unit back in the car and tail lights are working perfect, look great. Thanks for the help all.
