Default Any Easy Fix For Squeaky Seats?

I have a 2014 IS250C that is new to me within the past year. When moving the front seats for rear seat entry and exit, the seats make a horrible squeaking noise. Dealer assured me the noise does not indicate a problem that will lead to failure, and the dealer fix is estimated to be over $2k per seat. Not interested in paying that kind of money to get rid of an annoying noise, but wondered if anyone else had this same condition and came up with some easy fix, like disassemble something and lubricate?

I used white lithium grease on the gears and it stopped the noise for me.

Did you need to disassemble anything to get the grease on the gears?

No, I laid the seats back as far as they could and separated the joint. You will see the gears and can get the small tube in to apply. I then went from the rear of the seat and greased everything I could access.

Default White lithium grease is the trick...

I have 2011 250C and BOTH seats screeched when moving after the access button was pressed. I can attest that white lithium grease (which won't drip off the gears) works fine but it might require a couple of applications. No disassembly is required, as noted in the earlier post, putting the seat all the way back, pulling back the covers over the seat hinges and applying to the gears then putting the seat back up and down a couple times distributed the grease sufficiently to eradicate the squeek.

This is really good information! My seats makes that annoying rhythmic groaning sound when they are scooching forward as well, so I'm looking forward do getting some grease in there.

Thanks to both of you for your replies. I got some grease in there and the squeaking noise is gone!
