So my friend trimmed my board and is a perfect fit...now I just need to buy a can of black spray paint and get that done, and lay the lexus carpet on top. 20$ plus a can of spray paint covered by the Lexus trunk mat that we get for free (well we pau in the price of the car I guess) is cheaper than the 1050$ plus 15% tax quoted!
i will show the finish product when done. I know it's hard to tell by the pic but it sits perfectly flush, super happy with the outcome and sturdy enough to hold the spare the few times i'll have it in the car
nicely done!!
Ive gone back and forth and have decided on keeping the OEM spare. Ive got some road trips coming up so better safe than sorry, and I take my kiddos on Costco runs on the weekend.
glad to see this is an option in case I ever change my mind. Thanks for sharing!

It would be great to get confirmation that the Modern Spare clears the IS500 UE front brakes. Like you said, they assurded us and I am sure it's fine but nice to know for sure.
Was swapping to my summers today so I test fitted the ModernSpare, please excuse the dirty calipers, but confirming that it does indeed clear them!
My only gripe is that the rim is not hubcentric, but it comes with a plastic hub ring.

As.promised, here is the final look and glad to be part of the flat trunk floor family. 20$ for the 1/4" hardboard, 12$ for the spray paint and the carpet was supplied with the car.
