It looks like it is probably some type of quantum levitation and usually there is also dry ice involved to help create a super conductor.

What a genius marketing campaign.
Lexus has reached millions upon millions of people and those were just with the tiny teasers. This goes hand in hand with Lexus' goal of reaching more younger buyers since it is the tech savvy millennial that will be drooling over this hoverboard. All of the tech sites and even MSM have been following Project Slide and its still going strong. This is definitely a Golden Opportunity for Lexus.
I do remember a CL member calling this ridiculous (its ok some people don't understand business and marketing).
