Thanks for the additional information - The dealer I buy my cars from said mine would get here the last week of October and I have the 1st right of refusal (I also know someone in the same situation in another region) so it's nice to be able to see the car first, negotiate a price and then be able to make the decision without any pressure

you better get that in writing. Unless you’re trading something in there’s no way they let you have an ultimate edition for $61k USD lol. That’s like the price of a base model. Thats a $10k discount. Nobody ever has gotten that, think about it.

Actually, even with it in writing I doubt they would.

 

It’s hard to negotiate with the dealership when they know someone else wants it. I tried to haggle, but they said no to everything I offered.

So if somebody from your province wants to pounce on the car at MSRP, there will be pressure.

Could the latest tariffs have had an impact on the US pricing?

 

Even I can’t believe the MSRP myself after seeing the US pricing released last Aug 12th.

And I do have the signed documents with me which says, “All sales are final.” 😆

 

ALRIGHTY - It will be interesting to see what the price they will advertise this bad boy at. In the end, I am not in a situation where I need a new IS 500 but if it's nice looking and the Price is Right, I may do it. Will find out in a few weeks I guess Congrats on your new purchase BTW and can't wait to see real pics of this bad boy - They should start arriving at dealers to the West coast within a week or 2, and that will start creating the buzz

Good luck finding a UE at MSRP of $71,495 USD. Any dealers that list them already have a $2500-10k markup plus dealer add-ons. I have a few deposits around the US. I've been told MSRP for some dealerships, and others want a markup. At this point, it's a waiting game, and depending on my place in line, I may or may not have an opportunity to purchase one. Most dealerships advised that they may only get one allocation, while others claim they will have several. Some UEs are already in transit, expected to hit the dealerships in the next week or two.

 

Hell, REGULAR IS500s are already marked up. I can't imagine how bad the UE will be.

 

I'd think Trump's tariffs is causing a bit of a spike in the US, but that's a hefty difference from the US MSRP.

 

I looked up the pricing back in 2022 and the IS500 was always cheaper in Canada by several thousand dollars, even back then. So I don't think its Trump-related.

 

I agree, if the dealer respects the deal of 85k, you gotta very lucky. I can see a dealer giving 1000 off MSRP for loyal customer ls but 3000 is very good!

To the US folks, maybe the Japan added tariffs have something to do with it as we are spared from these. We are shafted on everything else, don't worry, you guys are still much better off!

 

Nothing to do with tariffs. The $8000 price difference goes back to the 2022 Launch Edition. We were under Biden at the time.
