Well, word has it, Lexus will be launching a second Launch Edition with a new special color. Should be interesting, supposed to land initially in October, but now looking like December. Let the shenanigans begin!!
The Japanese Launch Editions? Or new ones in the US?
Japan has its first edition which is their launch edition. I spoke with someone on the IS500 team yesterday. He told me he could not tell me much but that there will a second launch edition with a special color. He made it sound like there would be special things with this car, but we shall see what actually happens.

did he say when to expect the release of the 2023 models?
Is this an IS500 or the presumed ISF replacement with the twin turbo V6? Seems hard to believe that Lexus would release a second Launch Edition for the same car.

The F cars are going away. The trend now is going to be GR Gazoo Racing
Wait, so this new Launch Edition was supposed to land in a month, but there's zero information online for it? Yeah, I got real doubts this is real.
Also, isn't GR Toyota, while Lexus has already said they plan to continue using F as the top of their performance tier, hence why the IS500 is an F Sport Performance?

This info came from a lexus official at corporate in Texas that is on the IS 500 design team. He said the direction is changing and the F line in time will be going away. Like I said, it was slotted for October but pushed back. If you look at the Incognito Launch Editions, their build date was 11/21. The October was an initial Target, but the plants have closed off and on because of covid. I am sure by December we will see some land. Im just telling you what he said, unless you have his credentials, I would tend to think he knows what he is talking about. But its not a debate, if you don't feel the F cars are going away, its your right.
How many actual "F" owners: ISF, GSF, RCF & LFA actually tracked their vehicles?
I'm sure relatively few, just like M owners, AMG owners, RS owners, etc. Track driving is very hard on a car and the prospect of writing off, with no insurance, a $100,000+ car isn't something most people can accept. There's a reason my track cars have been Miatas.

When Lexus releases an announcement, I'll believe it.
I have a hard time believing that Lexus wouldn't give any information about a car that was supposed to land in a month, or even 3 months away.
