Getting the factory one off is a pain even with a heat gun. Ton of double sided tape and sits in a recessed position making it hard to get behind. We used a special shop tool made for it. It’s a thicker string with metal handles at each end meant for emblem removal without damaging the car. Double sided tape removal is also always a pain.

Looks good! I got the same emblem for my IS350 and actually it was pretty easy to remove it for me - i soaked it in goo gone (with trunk open, so it lays kinda flat) and then I used plastic cards to slowly cut through adhesive - it came out pretty easy but there might be some differences between IS500 vs IS350 that i don’t know.
I wish there was matching front emblem with still functional collision radar (like they have ‚black pearl’ emblem for <2021)
