Default Need help getting an alternative power source on the door panel for a LED el strip

I bought this LED kit it came with 4 footwell lights which I have plugged into the cigarette lighter, as well as 4 door panel LED strip lights it has a receiver that I have to find power for. I thought I could just plug and play with the ambient lighting on the door that exists already, but once I got to the 2nd door the fuse went out so now i want to find an alternative power source within the door but it’s harder than it seems for me if anyone has any info i’d appreciate it!

Do you require a Battery source or Ignition source? I'm guessing Ignition.

What year/model IS do you have? I'm guessing a 2014-2016.

Ok...assuming you don't have Memory Seats, the car is likely prewired for them, meaning there is a connector in the Driver's door with Ignition power that would have went to the Outer Mirror Control ECU.
The Ignition source is fused to the 10A ECU-IG1 NO. 1 fuse.
Don't ask me to explain the relation between the Memory Seats and Mirror ECU lol!

The connector is White and has 14 cavities for wires...I believe there is a wire in each cavity.
Pin number 5 of the connector is a Black wire, and that is the Ignition source. The same connector also has a Black wire in Pin 8 position, so don't mix them up.
Pin 8 is at the corner of the connector as it's 2 rows of 7 cavities...which leaves Pin 5 a little closer to the middle of the connector.

As it's likely not plugged into a component (the Outer Mirror ECU), then it's either taped to the harness or plugged into a dummy connector as a placeholder.
Likely the connector in the pic you uploaded just above the speaker area.

If you don't have Memory Seats, then if the connector was present (if) it wouldn't be plugged into anything.
It would either be taped to the harness, or plugged into a dummy plug...basically the dummy plug would look like a cap on the connector.
Of course I'm assuming the car is prewired for the Memory Seats, which I could be wrong. A lot of 2014's are prewired for Fog lights even if the car doesn't have them.

Your door is pretty busy...I'm looking at all the stuff in the pic trying to help find the connector, but man there's a lot of foam/insulation everywhere!!
I could be staring right at it and not even know. lol!

For reference, the plug in the pic is 16 cavities from what I can see, even though there isn't a wire in each cavity.

Unfortunately that is the only wire I could find that is Ignition fused into the Driver's door...nevermind I didn't even look at the other doors. For sure the rear doors will have nothing...and the front passenger door likely has nothing either.

There are two other options:
1. Run a wire into the doors that you need an ignition fused circuit
2. Backprobe the Master switch connector to see which circuits get power when the ignition is on

To be clear on #2, these are not Ignition power sources, rather circuits that are turned on by the Main Body ECU when the car is on...i.e. the led lights in the power window switches for the 4 windows
My fear with option two is your mention in your original post of blowing a fuse...if you damage the Main Body ECU you could have bigger issues than you expect.
Obviously #2 is 'do at your own risk'.

#1 is the safer option, but will take more work to get the wire through the harness from inside the car to inside the door(s). There will be a lot of swearing, trust me.
