Switched out LEDs in door sills
I have successfully switched out the LED in the door sills , takes a bit of work but well worth it, here's some pics I took while working on it.

I'm about to do the last two sills ill take more pics during the process to show how its done. The LED is a standard 3mm LED bulb (I replaced it with a bigger 5mm bulb) which is soldered to a small circuit board. The LED is focused onto a plastic piece which disperses the light to make it appear the plate is lit up when really it isn't , the light is coming from the side of the plate, kind of like when you shine a light into murky water. You have to do a little cutting with a dremel on the bottom of the plate, which is out of sight, so you don't have to worry about cutting into a piece of the car, no one will ever see it all in all, I only spent $4 dollars (4 LED bulbs) sure beats the hundreds of dollars it cost to buy new sills

Nice!!!! just wondering is the metal part hard to detach from the plastic? Mine is a bit dented and i was thinking of taking it to a metal fabricator to get a new one made up.

Just posting to bump this thread hoping OP returns with the how-to...
Am i correct is assuming the sills just pop out and the actual labor comes not from removing panel after panel secured with screws... rather the removal of sills is easy and the "hard" labor is soldering the led?
