There's another subtle mod you catch a quick glimpse of in the video. Anybody see it??

either I’m blind as a bat or it’s very subtle. Btw, it obviously doesn’t hyperflash outside, but does the car hyperflash in the cluster or no? Thanks in advance. I’m considering buying some Sylvania Zevo because I’ve had good experience in the past but I’m curious if I’ll need resistors with those bulbs. And I’m trying to avoid that as much as possible. It doesn’t look like the diode dynamics bulbs have any special resistor built in so my guess is that the Sylvanias might work without hyperflash on a car with the triple beams.

No, the blink rate on the cluster is normal. The DD bulbs do not have resistors. The Lasfits I originally tried did have a built in resistor and those bulbs hyperflashed. Super hyperflashed, like strobed, they flashed so fast.

Hello. I appreciate all of the info listed in this thread thus far. I recently bought a 2021 IS 350 F Sport AWD with triple beam headlights. Currently I'm trying to figure out if I need a type of load resistor, to swap out the rear turn signals. I am also trying to figure out the LED bulb size equivalent. I know the part number from Lexus/Toyota is 9098115011. I think the 194 would be the equivalent....or a 7440.

Does anyone know if this led light will work?

Thank you.

Don’t quote me. But I believe the 7440 is the correct bulb. It definitely isn’t the 194 though.

Thanks. I'll give 7440A a go.

Please do let us know how it goes. I’m waiting for my car to land but I too am considering putting the Sylvania Zevo LEDs solely because I’ve used them in the past and I love them. But I’m curious if we need resistors if we have triple beams. Good luck!

Thanks. They'll be here by the end of the month, early next month. I've replaced the trunk light, both door lights and the vanity lights with Zevo's. I absolutely love them. These two rear turn signals are the last incandescents on my car. I can't wait to end this!

Trunk

Vanity. The vanities maybe a little too bright...lol.
