Okay so! Bluetooth and the WiFi connect automatically! We are better than where we started. The only thing now is getting z-link to automatically open… I tried the USB and I had to click into z-link for it to work. It did not open automatically. What is odd is that in my IPhone I have a setting that opens up CarPlay automatically. It’s ON but I think since this is an Android unit, it doesn’t recognize it.

EDIT: I FIGURED IT OUT! What I ended up doing is downloading an app called Auto Start. What it does is that it automatically starts up certain applications on your android when you start up your device. I made it so z-link is the one that automatically opens. Just tested it now and it worked perfectly. Hopefully it stays that way! Now I just need to figure out why whenever I skip a song using the steering wheel function, it replays the song instead.

I'm not sure either I don't have this setting. You can try it out probably means it keeps Carplay running while you're using something else in main Android unit.

 

I have similar problem, when I skip a song on steering wheel button it will skips two songs ahead. It's common issue with these unit not sure Lexion has same problem.

 

I've hardly used CarPlay at this point. In any case, I don't skip songs, or very rarely. I've used the radio on CarPlay, Sonic Universe, the progressive jazz station I love.
If I think about it, I'll throw Spotify on it and see about skipping a song ahead.

 

If I can find any remedies I'll be sure to let you know.

Hi guys, need help if anyone has encountered before with their roadtop unit. I was updating the software and everything was humming along and the progress bar was moving when suddenly the screen blacked out and there seems to be no more progress. I waited 10 more minutes with the engine still running, but nothing shows, no carplay nor the module's menu. I can still change back to lexus OEM screen by holding down the menu button, but it seems there is no more carplay menu there now, just a blank screen. Anyone with knowledge about this, please? Thank you.
