Android and Apple Carplay - Is it possible?
I have tried to put in a link to the video, maybe try that?
Cheers
Thanks, it took me about 2 days in total. I did it while we were in lockdown so I knew I would not need to drive the car for a few days. It was time consuming to remove the various pieces of trim (front door panels, plastic pieces along the sides of the floor to the back of the car, back seat and boot trim pieces), and run the camera cables to the back of the car as well as from the mirrors, and also through the firewall under the steering wheel and into the engine bay.

Lexion unit and larger screen Installed today. Spent about 20 minutes with one of the managers of the shop. We both figured it out together. Works great. Sound is
excellent. Steering wheel buttons work fine. The tech returned and said to hold Menu to return to the Lexus menu, which saved a few
steps. I'll play with it more tomorrow. The larger screen is amazing! A CL member is coming here tomorrow to check it out. Three thumbs up!

A guy from the forum met me today and I went over the Lexion unit with him. He loves it as much as I do, and why not.
I went into settings and changed it to connect automatically, which is so much better, of course. It is lightning fast connecting.
Everything works great.
One question. In the Lexion menu, it has a Navigation option to click on. When I do, it says "No navi app." Same when I go into Settings. My phone has
Google Maps on it, which works great while playing music in CarPlay. Anyone know how to fix this? A minor inconvenience.

Thanks. No Android phone here. What do you mean, hotspot from iPhone data?
If you use CarPlay you don’t need to worry about all this everything is projected from your phone including data connection and gps for map.

Since it works similar to tablet you need some kind of data connection I don’t think this system has build in SIM card. In order to get data you either need WiFi or data from your phone like hotspot. Also, you need to use external gps and mic that comes with the unit in order to use Google map from Android. Even though you have iPhone you’re only using iOS through CarPlay app on top of Android OS.

Has anyone had any issues with CarPlay Audio? I connected to the CarPlay Bluetooth and went to play my music on Spotify but nothing seems to be outputting anything. The song is playing on my phone just not outputting and volume to the car.
Dojoman has been helping me when I have questions about CarPlay. I'm sure he won't mind my sharing his answer to this question here. I hope this helps:
You can check on your OEM system which input is selected currently by pressing media button it should say whether you're in A/V, AUX, Bluetooth. They will cycle with each press. I believe sound coming from Lexion is only through A/V or AUX. Bluetooth should work too but bluetooth is coming from audio of the iPhone to Lexus system so when you're in bluetooth you will not hear Waze or Google navigation audio. So very likely you were listening in AUX and when your daughter plugged in there's no sound coming from AUX, it's possible sometime there's a glitch until you reboot the system. So when she press media it just cycles to next input probably bluetooth.
My daughter had to take my car to work yesterday. She had the same issue with no volume. She figured out to change the Lexus input from Radio to Media.
