We went through this for quite a few years, possibly a decade, over at the BMW side of things about 10 years ago. I told everyone it's not worth the time, effort, money going poly on a part clearly designed for street-use. Rough handling, and even dangerous handling can result. One of the premier BMW race car building teams wrote an article on it too. Pretty interesting read. And they're a hardcore race team. They hate the things on street cars.

All that aside from the obvious maintenance/annoyances the squeaks can create.

Your car should work for you, not the other way around.

I can write a small book on this topic but that's the gist of my thoughts on this after many years of experience and trying most mods under the sun.

If you drive on reasonable roads, best case scenario, you can get away with the poly bushings (in this location) but you will have to babysit them on some unreasonable interval.

I and others have had that problem with the USRS bushings. Switch to FIGS bushings. You will find they don't squeak and have less NVH.

I had the FIG's in my previous IS', and never had any issues over years of usage. It seems the thrust washer set up on the RR bushing would completely eliminate deflection of the LCA (which others will not), but also create a high concentration of friction on the poly to washer surface as it is loaded. Everything in suspension tuning is a balance/compromise.
