Default Drivers floormat hole

I have a 2018 3IS. I've had it maybe a year and a quarter. The driver's mat has a hole where I rest my heal for operating the pedals, the "****" of the carpet is gone there, though the mat is intact. Anyone else having this issue? Is it something a dealer would replace given the young age of the car? I've had other cars for many years and never had more than some normal wear where I keep my heal, never this.

You could always go for the rubber floor mats. Here's my suggestion:
Use the rubber mats most of the time, such as commuting.
Switch to carpet when you want the car to look nice.

That's what I have been doing, and they're holding up really well.

My IS was starting to show wear, but not a hole (yet). If you wear sharp shoes, like dress shoes, this could cause it with a sharp heel.

On my BMW, it was stick shift, and it wore pretty deeply too from using the clutch. so it's normal if you are a heavy commuter wearing dress shoes.

+1

In my cars I've owned, I've always swapped out the regular carpets with rubber ones since they'd be more durable and easier to clean than carpets. For the all-weather mats that come with some IS's, I think they look good and hold up well.

Quick question: own a 2016 F Sport IS 300....went here looking for the all-weather rubber floor mats: https://parts.lexus.com/accessories/...ml?route=model

There is no IS 300 listed and the mats for the IS350 don't list that they fit an IS 300 and the IS 200 doesn't list any rubber mats. Any ideas?

The only concern is whether you have AWD or not. You can get mats for IS 350 AWD. I believe you want these: https://parts.lexus.com/p/Lexus_2016...065314120.html
