Dumb question :-). How do you turn off the navigation in route (2017 IS300 Fsport).
Drives me crazy. I can’t find a button to “end route guidance”.
The “Delete Destination” button will delete it from all listings, right?

Delete Destination will end the route but not delete it from your favorites. Why they didn't just use End Route like every other system I have no idea.

Thanks! On top of that it asks if you are sure that you want to delete it :-).
Would anyone know if you can order a new oem front bumper tow hook cover in the same color as the color? Or does it all come in black or unpainted?
I try to look up the part and the part# but it does not show the color or anything.
It looks like a 10 digit part number, so no matter the car it's the same part, which would suggest it comes flat black and is ready for paint.
With some painted parts the part number is 12 digits, and the last two represent the color code of the vehicle.
Will any of the 2014 IS seibon carbon fiber lip and side skirt etc. fit the 2017 IS 350f? I don't see any difference between the 2014 model and the 2017 one, just asking to make sure if I buy the 2014 IS carbon fiber parts it will fit the 2017 model perfect.

The side skirts, hood, front fenders, trunk, and technically the rear diffuser will fit.
The front lip will not as the bumper on the 2017-2018 is different to the 2014-2016.
With the rear diffuser it will fit on the vehicle, however the 2017+ exhaust tips won't work with the opening in the diffuser.
I've noticed this in my car, and I'm assuming its normal, but 1 press of the traction control button turns it off temporarily, but a long press will keep it off. Is it supposed to work like that? I wonder what the purpose was behind that. If I hit the button, I want it off until I turn it back on again...

The purpose of that was to allow you to turn off traction control temporarily, such as when you are stuck, for example in snow. Once you get up to a certain speed (maybe 35 mph?) the TC turns back on again.
If you do the long press, that turns off not only TC, but VSC (stability control) as well, which is a different use case. Then, it won't turn back on unless you press the button again. If you've ever heard of the pedal dance on the 2nd-generation IS, you know what this does.
Basically the long press is intended for spirited driving, such as on a track, whereas the other one is just to get you moving on a slippery surface.

pretty much the standard of how cars operate w/ respect to the stability control. the first gen cars to offer this from BMW operated this way as well. so it turns on when you turn the car back on so people don't die. lets say they forgot, or by an accidental long push (pet paw, water bottle, big elbow) etc
Why does 3IS keep the circulate mode by default for the vents? I hate keeping it in that mode but it always reverts back to it.
I don't have the exact answer, but based on what I have experienced I have noticed it tends to use recirculation when it's hotter outside than inside. I think this is to help keep out the hot air rather than pull it in. This can sometimes lead to unpleasant smells (read: mildew), though, so I try to open the vents once in a while. I've noticed that in colder weather it seems to default to pulling air in from the outside, which isn't always desirable.
