Default 2014-2017 ISxxx remote start with oem remote 3click

Would like to share info on inexpensive way to add remote start to your oem key (3 click)
I have purchased idatalink ADS ALCA. Asked seller to flash software from idatalink website to the unit. Otherwise you would have to buy ads-usb cable that cost too much for one use and flash it yourself.
2014-2017 all lexus ISxxx available. Go to idatalink website and verify yourself. All info there.
I just completed installation myself and can confirm it is working, even tho seller said it will not work as stand alone because it was just a bypass module, and if it would it would be very cheap way. He obviously didn’t know what he was talking about. I asked him just to flash it and I will be gone.
I live In Canada and it costed me 85$CAD if you are in States about $60USD from ebay.
If you can not do it yourself find a local shop to install it for you, should not be more than $100 for the install.
Cheers

This? How hard was the installation. I remember there was a thread about it. I wonder how it recognizes your keyfob? The flash?

Yes this is it. It is a by pass module. I think when it sences three lock clicks it is starts through push button ( u have to splice into it aswell. And shuts down if you try to open doors, touch brakes etc. Like oem remote starter from lexus.
i have never installed alarms or remote starters before. Utube for an idea thats all. To find wires was easy, used some splicers, some thin wires had to strip and splice manually. But it is 8 wires all together to do. If you are handy u can do it.
here is pic of all connections and their location. Use it for reference only

Very interested to get your take on this. Please let me know if this works for you as you are also in the US. Even though the prices dropped, it is still something I am not willing to pay monthly for. This on the other hand, I will buy in a heartbeat.

Please do keep us informed!

Yeah, I’m pretty pissed Lexus charges for the Enform! So far I got quotes from $90-$265.

Just like Enform! Also, make sure you buy from a dealer that will flash the module. I’ve seen cheaper units but do not offer the flash. Have to be a dealer to flash it. Can’t wait it’s installed!

I remember this thread. It made it seem more complicated and I got turned off. Pretty sure you have to be a dealer now to flash the module.

no. cause I just bought the module about 2/3 weeks ago for $20 and did it myself. I have other friends that that wanted me to flash theres to so the $20 was nothing really

plus having the flash module allows u to go in and change your settings if u need to. especially when u don't like the defaults. for example default run time is 15min. not enough time to get car really warm in winter time. u can change it up to 30min. you also can change the delay to start time. do u want the doors to unlock or stay locked when it starts. the sequence of button presses and so forth. not lots of options but enough for the picky ones. lol

ps - all the wires are easily accessible... except for 1... the one under the steering column. the clip for the steering wheel lock sits under the panel under the steering wheel

Does your Lexus have navigation, and if not, do you know if this will work with cars with nav? I've been reading a lot about how aftermarket options won't work with cars that have nav.
