Default Wiper blades.. insert vs actual blade

2015 is250 here needs wipers. I remember on my older IS you change the insert versus the actual whole blade.

Did a search here and didn't come across anything. I believe dealership wants $70+ for a new set.

Wish Lexus was like BMW...all of this is included with a lease. No out of pocket for anything except tires.

Yes, the inserts are replaceable without too much trouble and will be cheaper than the blades.

Do you know the insert part number? Or the standard blade replacement?

Most dealers will have at least one of the RH part numbers I gave and they will likely all have the LH insert. For the blades, the part numbers are Lexus-Unique and cannot be ordered by Toyota dealerships.

You just ask for the insert to be replaced? What's the actual distance I mean isn't the little blade considered the insert? Why not always just change that? What would make one change the entire long thing

I replaced my rubber inserts last week.

They were $28 for them and took less than five minutes to do change them taking my time. The dealer wanted $55 installed and noted they were ripped on my invoice, which they weren't..... they only streaked.
