Cargo net latch in the trunk

Cargo net latch in the trunk
Driving a 16 is awd non f sport, but I assume this would be for all trims.
In the trunk, I see 4 silver latches, 2 on each (left and right) side. There are 2 of them closer to the edges (towards car's rear) and that's where i latch the OEM cargo net. But what's the use of the other 2 latches that are like in the middle of the trunk? I have a carpet like cargo net in my Rx and there 4 latches are in each corner of the trunk, which makes sense when I put the net flat on the trunk. But in the IS, 2 of the latches are in the middle.
Could someone educate me on what good are they for?

I have the factory cargo net it goes into the trunk vertically. The other hooks can be used for a flat or horizontal cargo net. They sell them at autozone and o'rileys they look like this
