Alert: Nav system locking up
Having the same issue starting today. Got the car back in Sept 2015. LS460 brand new. Today I turned on my car, when it got to the "warning screen" it would then automatically re-boot itself every 5 seconds. So annoying that a car this expensive would have this issue. Ridiculous quite honestly.
This just happened to me earlier after work on the way home. I unplugged negative battery wire for 5 mins, put back and after reloaded, works again. Whew! Must be a bad signal via satellite reason people in various locations have been affected.?
It only seems to be vehicles with Enform active, is that correct? Has anyone been affected without Enform? Seems a good reason that every owner affected gets Enform free for LIFE after they fix this glitch. And just WHY didn't Enform push a notice to drivers about a glitch after it was clearly a wide spread issue? They send me all kinds of other messages. Disappointing.

If the affected vehicles are on a continuous reboot loop, then sending a notice would be futile, since you couldn't see it anyway.
Here's an email I got from my dealership yesterday.

My sisters friend who is a service manager at a Lexus dealership in NJ said to disconnect the battery for 1 minute and then reconnect it. He said as customers were calling to complain, that was the solution he told them. If they couldn't do it at home, he would tell them to bring it by anytime and they would do the battery rest for them.

Looks like it may be related to this? I didn't know the lack of satellites will crash the whole Lexus nav system.

Mine is fine, but I noticed it's been acting odd. It keeps telling me there are traffic jams and slow traffic while I drive. I don't see any of this anywhere. It even re-routed me because it thought a traffic jam was immenent. Told me a lane was closed when there was nothing there.
Mine started yesterday and I don't have a subscription for enform. I called in yesterday evening since I wasn't aware it was a national issue... I was told that all they needed to do was a reset so I drove all the way to Lexus of Westminster...... during rush hour on Beach Blvd... a pain in the ***!! Got there and was told that there was nothing they can do since the reset was only a temporary fix.

Just called Lexus dealer service department. Its a well known and documented nationwide issue at this point. A bad software update downloaded via satelite is the cause. Dealer can offer a temp fix while Lexus figures out a permanent patch. Dealer said they need the car for 30 minutes.
