Alert: Nav system locking up
Here is the chat reply from Lexus corporate website as of 10 min ago: "We're aware that beginning morning 6/7/2016 many of our vehicles' head units stopped working. Our key partners, Toyota Tech Center and TMS Product Quality are all fully engaged and investigating this issue as a top priority. The teams are working around the clock to find a solution ad we will alert you as soon as we have more information." In response to "...should I go to a dealer?" the answer was : "Yes, they will use a quick remedy however, you may still experience issues until the software has been updated".
I too had my navigation/stereo go out on me yesterday. I have a 2014 is250 fsport with no lexus enform. I left work yesterday and it just started turning on / off / on / off.... It wont stop the entire drive.. SO annoying! Nothing works and I need my Bluetooth. I will try disconnecting the battery tonight and see if it works. (Crossing my fingers)
My wife mention this NAV problem to me yesterday as she was driving home and that was around 4 pm pst.
Until this gets resolved perhaps posting year and model could help all that it's currently effecting.
Already had a prior appointment to go to the dealership tonight so hoping they get it sorted out.

Power cycled by disconnecting the battery and went upstairs to write this update...now I'm reading that this might only be a temporary fix (palm to forehead). Hoping I can have a radio playing during today's commute.

Haven't had the rebooting issue yesterday or today but my navi is randomly showing my location in the middle of nowhere, not even close to the locations I'm at, if I enter a destination it eventually snaps back to the street I'm on. Not sure if this is related to this particular problem.
FROM LEXUS CORPORATE:
Errant data broadcast by our traffic and weather data service provider was not handled as expected by the microcomputer in the vehicle navigation head unit (center display) of 2014-16 model year Lexus vehicles. In some situations, this issue can cause the head unit restart repeatedly, affecting operation of the navigation system (if equipped), audio and climate control features. The data suspected to be the source of the error was corrected last night.
The correction is a forced reset and clearing of the errant data from the system. Disconnecting the vehicle 12V battery for at least 5 minutes and then re-connecting the battery completes this reset.
Lexus owners experiencing these issues should visit their dealer for a complimentary system reset and a confirmation of the system
Thank you for your patience and on-going support.

This just happened to me yesterday too. I'm happy i'm not the only one going through this. I disconnected the battery as well and got it working again, hopefully they will fix this soon.
