$239!?!? Omg that is outrageous. So even if I did buy a legit OEM key fob online it could still be close to over $150 when everything is all said and done. I really don't want to shell out $239 for a spare key fob. ughhh
Yeah put the new on a chain and hang it around your neck
Does anyone know how much the dealership would charge to get a spare key done? When I purchased my car it only came with one key fob and I was thinking that if I ever lost my one key fob I'd be **** out of luck.
If they didn't give you two keys and you bought the car new, they owe you a second key.
My buddy lost my key recently and this is the only way to go about it if you don't have the other key. The previous key has to be erased and new key added.
1. Tow car to dealership
2. Get a new FOB and key from them...
3. Get the key cut and FOB programmed.
I own a shop so I got a little discount.... but it ran me around $540 (buddy paid) with towing fees.
