Angry Replacement key for RX-350

Over the weekend I went to start my RX and noticed that the key fob had split and the three buttons were gone from the plastic case.
I tried to retrace my tracks to see if I could find the insert but could not.
Does anyone know what the process to replace the key fob and cost is?

You'll have to get a new "brain" for your key and cut it. Pretty much, as long as you have at least one Master Key, the dealer can program the new key to that specific signal, otherwise you're looking at reseeding an entire set of new keys. I think the cost is around $300 when its all said and done. Those brains are pretty pricey

They can be had on ebay for around 60 including a new key. Some dealers will cut and program the key for you, some wont. I will say you are more likely to get it done if you are having some other service on the car.

Except that they also need the electronics, which they lost. Then, they need to get that programmed to their vehicle.

Thanks fellow RX owners. I took your advice and called a Lexus dealer in Escondido, CA. to check the procedure and cost to replace the key fob. They said it would require them to order the key and I would have to leave the RX all day. The total cost for Key and labor would be around $400.
I checked with the San Diego dealer where I bought it and was told they had the key blank and it would take 15 minutes to cut and program. The total charge would be $245. I drove over and get the key made and can't be leave that the first dealer would take advantage of customers that way.
Phone call are cheap!
