Default Lost keys

I lost both my keys @_@ for my 2007 IS250.
What should I do to get new keys.

I was thinking of ordering a set on eBay and having the dealer program them.

I called the dealer and they said I can only order an 07 or 08 key, because the transponders are the same in both of them.

Do you think any locksmith can come to my house and program a set of new keys?, or do I have to tow my car to the dealership.

Thanks.

I think you have to go to dealer to program these...

Don't know what they go for now, but shoot me a PM if you need it. Obviously, if you want it ASAP, you can pay for shipping next day.

you need the computer that the dealer has to program a new key. I think you need an already programmed key to program additional keys or else you have to go thru a long security deal with verifications of ownership and calls to lexus corp to get unlock codes.

This is to keep thieves from programming a key to the car when they dont have a key already in the system in hand.

You are correct. I lost both of my keys like a dumbass drunk, and had to get my car towed on a flatbed to the dealer, and get new keys programmed.

Its easy for them to verify that you are the owner so no worries. A locksmith won't do anything as they will not be able to get into the car. Every time they try and unlock it the alarm will go off and lock again instantly.

Ah that sucks. I actually have the metal key if that matters at all. Miami, is the key a blank key?

you can purchase blank (unprogrammed Keyfobs) and uncut metal keys (on the side of the keyfob ), dealer reprograms the KF but the metal key needs to be recut for the car. I lost mines previously. Insurance should take care of the 1st 100-200 cost for you.
