Remote starter

Is the remote starter going to drain your battery faster? is it why a lot of CL members having a battery problem? My friend said his dealer told him so that he didn't get a remote starter for his car. Is it true?

A 2014 Lexus IS does not have remote start. 2015 models will have that option (or standard?). It really is a shame the 2014's don't have that as an option.... Chevy Cruzes and Ford Focuss probably have had it since the start of this decade.

your dealer is misinformed and you very well may run into problems.

Just tried to order from the dealer, if you have Nav it will not work...

Remote Start Does not work in 2014 with nav

I bought my car and paid for the remote start even. The dealer wasnt even aware of the issue until after i told them about what i had read on the forums. They confirmed that it was not an option and refunded my money. Still pretty pissed as this functionality would be great in dallas where it gets over 105 in the summer and below freezing in the winter.
