can anyone test the MirrorLink and do a review because
I just want to know what I am missing xD plus its annoying to have a feature in my car and I cant accesses it nor used it! lol sigh!
I tested it with galaxy s3.
First you should install drivelink app from sony.
It works. But I think ot is useless because you can only use maps for navigation. If you let run maps you can not have music so it is very simple. It should work wit xperia z zl and zr too if you start car mode.I would like to know if it is better or not. Can I use other navi app?

thanks for testing and sharing frankyman ... it a bit disappointing that the car head unit has a very limited use for the MirrorLink feature...but at least I got Navigation function which is fine with me ... but unfortunately I am not able to accesses nor make it work... i have the feeling it's kind of locked on my car... on my next visit to the dealer ill ask them about it and hopefully I'll find an answer to my question ... but by all mean if anyone used please share and make a thread describing it usage using pictures or video
I have asked the dealer ( we have only one in Hungary), but he had no idea if it works or not.
After I have checked the internet I found information wich mobile could be compatibel. I think some Nokia phones could work too. If you are only interested in navigation maybe nokia is the best solution because they have maps for free. I plan to buy an used nokia 700 (it is cheap) to make a test. If its work I will make a video and will give a short rewue.

Connecting a cheap Nokia phone as a navi function is a Great idea! BUT in the mirrorLink site HERE

SO I think its Lexus fault for not getting there S/W Up to date.
hopeing they well Update our cars in the next few weeks or months
I have downloded today the app. "nokia car mode with mirrorlink" on my used nokia 700 (costs Phone 50 euro, software 25 euro).
After starting the app. and starting mirrorlink in info menu in my new IS 250 (without navi) it is working. I dont need sim card because I can download the maps for freeat home with wifi and navi is working offline. I will make a video on youtube, and share the link...
Hi I am with the same problem bouth my IS300H in august and there is no new update for mirrorlink it only works with Samsung Galaxy and Sony phones (some models). I think Lexus is going out of this tecno and will have available a GPS to add to this model paying around 800 EUR.
