Default 3IS AWD hump

To the AWD owners out there, how intrusive is the hump on the driver's side? It seems ok at first, but I'm wondering if it's something that becomes more annoying over time or not. I'm a relatively small person, and don't take up much space, but it is a little odd because I'm not used to it being there.
I'd love to hear your opinions.

I don't mind it. I'm 6' 2" and my right leg will rub up against it periodically, but it's really not a big deal.

I never even noticed it until someone pointed it out here. Then I went and looked a the car. Lo and behold, there's da hump!

Not intrusive at all.

Didn't have an issue with the 2IS AWD so expect the same "transparency" when I get my 3IS AWD.

Doesn't bother me at all, as a matter of fact, I can rest my leg on it while my foot is on the gas :P

Like what everyone has said, it's no biggie. I noticed the hump when I was playing around the carpet the other day.

I was wondering what that was when I test drove it. I thought it was some feature to rest your leg on. LOL!

I assume RWD don't have this.

When I was in Colorado I bought an AWD Audi S4. Great car for areas with lots of snow, especially if you ski. But there are downsides of course. Extra weight is obvious, as is the extra friction in the drivetrain. Before it reached 100,000 miles, I started to really notice the extra gear whine coming from the transfer case or whatever it is supposed to be called in a car that doesn't really have a separate case for the center diff. The sound is much the same as the sound I here with any four-wheel-drive vehicle that has accumulated a similar amount of miles. It isn't terribly loud, but it never goes away, and it is one of the things that I am looking forward to no longer experiencing. If you do not have a really strong sense that you really need AWD, I recommend skipping it. In regions that get only one or two occasional light snows each winter, a RWD car with either limited slip differential or traction control is a better option in my opinion.
