Has anyone tried the remote start kit from Accessorides on their IS? I've seen the 12Volt Solutions a lot and the one from MPC, but haven't found much info on the Accessorides one other than on Toyota Tacoma/Rav4 forums where it appears to be quite popular and reliable. The Allure with This one is that it comes with "takeover" which allows you to remote start and the car doesn't turn off when you open the door if the key is detected.
Anyone have this installed? I'm thinking of purchasing one if no one has any horror stories on it.

That's interesting, I didn't know there was a device that would allow for takeover. Not having takeover really limits the use of remote start, so I'd love to be able to add it to my car. Update us if you decide to take the plunge!
Kit arrived today, hope to get a chance to install it Sunday afternoon.
Components are to be installed behind the glove box (need to drop the airbag and glove box for access) and plug into a couple of ECU connectors.
Haven’t checked yet to see who this ‘directechs’ is yet.
One thing to note, not a big deal, but your memory seat and steering wheel don’t automatically return to your driving position. You need to press your desired memory button before you drive off.
First remote start I’ve had on a car, looking forward to using it on hot/cold days.
Thanks for the update! That's great! I'd consider getting one for my IS500 but it only seems to support the newer IS300... Maybe I can reach out to them to check compatibility.

What do you mean newer? My IS350 is a 2014, first year of the 3rd gen. Go to the website linked above and enter your vehicle info to see if they have a product for it.
Actually it appears that Accessorides is just a dealer/reseller, not the manufacturer. Directechs would be the maker. I went to that website, but it requires a dealer login to get any useful info.
Ok, I see. Accessorides only lists IS300 for 2022.
But Directechs does list 5 options for the 2022 IS500.
Yeah, contact Accessorides and see if they’ll get and sell you the appropriate model for your IS500.
Will this work with remote starting via the Lexus app too?
They have several different ordering options on their website, and a couple of them include ‘smart phone app control’, so I suspect it works with at least the car side of the cellular interface.
I went with the cheapest option, which uses 3 clicks of the lock button on the OEM remote. That range works just fine for me, but they also have their own longer range remote options (1000 ft, and 2000 ft), as well as the smart phone app.
